Leap of Faith

My heart is not a timetable;

It does not care about my

Schedule or busy day.

It is a wind engaging with the sea.

It breathes with a song set sail

From the ocean of my life

Or sometimes it is like

A galloping horse–

Hair blowing in the wind,

Nostrils flaring and moist,

Free and untamed with

No thought of owners

And the owned

No separateness

No time

Till my belly full

With some secret

Longing, unfilled,

Primordial,

Dismissed,

Potent,

Invisible,

Noticed

And captured

In someone else’s eyes.
